We drove about 400 miles today. A little further than we had wanted, but we relaxed when we arrived. We are in a very nice RV park, Arkadelphia RV Park. We have driven through much farmland. Soybeans, corn and now some cotton fields. Farmers are praying for dry weather and wind to dry out their fields. ... get a late breakfast. Good greasy breakfast food from a truck stop when you're wet and cold is a great pick me up. The rain eventually stopped. ... steak with grilled shrimp. Paul had steak and a stuffed jacket potato which he said was really good.

Next day I went to mass at the local Catholic church St. Mark's.
The folk there were very friendly and I was cordially welcomed as soon as I stepped into the church. The priest was a missionary one with a grest sense of humour.

Shortly after we woke up, we went to the visitors center for the park and rented a canoe. The park ranger delivered it down to the lake for us and we spent the next couple house paddling around the lake. They had a path marked around the lake with buoys for kayakers to follow.
