Halifax in a Nutshell
Rocky night! Made Halifax in one piece though and nobody is feeling even slightly sea sick. Jude and John were not sure how they would go, but are real sailors now.
Looks like we've out run the rain, the sun just beginning to poke through, so off the ship to explore.
Lots of boating history here. Took in the Maritime Museum (mostly about shipping disasters), maybe not the best thing to be focussing ...

Drive the scentic route to Banff National Park with my friend where he showed me some of the beautiful lakes and sites of the mountains from within the park. The lakes are covered in snow and the temperature is around minus three but its a dry cold so once you are back inside you soon warm up again. Halifax, Nova Scotia
... church of St Paul on the Grand Parade grounds. The old government buildsing on the opposite end of the grounds from St Paul's was covered in plastic for restoration work so decided to walk up the hill to the Citadel.
The Citadel as I said is an old star shaped fortress well preserved with costumed soldiers/docent's manning the guard posts and rooms to help visitors with questions. They were friendly and informative and between walking the walls, taking pictures, ...
Visiting in Halifax
... backed out, but another was still up for it and at the last minute another friend spoke up finally. Still missed a few folks I would have liked to have seen. Got in and stopped at a Canadian Tire to get a few things I was still missing (they had none of them though!), buy some rum (wooo walls of rum!! Not one or two bottles of lousy rum like in other provinces *cough*Quebec*cough*).
