... but she said Veetee routee fifteenee. Drove back through Montpelier - capital of Vermont. Very small town (village) but quite gorgeous, we walked around a bit, wanting arvo tea, saw a cafe that said 'closed' but when we asked she invited us in, sat us down and gave of coffee, tea, choc cake and apple pie. She kept letting more people in, yet it was well past closing time. American hospitality is real ...

So we've actually been home a few weeks. How time flies!  Much faster when you're back into the old daily grind.  But let's go back in time to June 20th for a minute. Breakfast was good - as we expected based on our experience at the two earlier Hampton Inn's we stayed at in Hays, KS and St. Louis, MO.  Roxy was safe and sound in the parking lot along with her cargo, which included all the souvenirs we bought along the ...

... not merit a photograph. The restaurant is known for their guacamole made table side with fresh ingredients. The sangria was sweet, but a nice end to a hot day!

But as good as it was, it did not compare to the tasty dinner Nancie Severs prepared, a very savory blackened mahi mahi, accompanied by a wonderful salad of mixed field greens, orange ...
