Although it took 11 hours to get from DC to Randolph, it was A LOT better than flying since we would still be waiting for our flight today I bet. We scooted out of DC just as THE BIGGEST STORM EVER was coming in. Didn't really see much snow at all on the way up but Amtrack did cancel all northbound trains the next day.

The trip to New York City began at 6:30am on Monday, 1/26/2015. Unexpectedly, we had to leave an entire day early to beat the storm Juno, coming up the East Coast. Mom and I left the house and went to Rutland, where we got coffee, rations and a ...

We all need coping strategies for difficult times in our lives. Whether our stress derives from our work, our busy schedules, relationship changes, aging, illness or death of a beloved family member, facing a challenging illness as I am now, or simply the ...

... 8220;Ghost Train to the Eastern Star: On the Tracks of the Great Railway Bazaar”

I have been reading it slowly over the past couple of months, accompanying Paul on one or two trip legs at a time. It’s colorful and moody evoking all of the emotions that seasoned travelers well understand. I have enjoyed the visions he creates of places I have never been and his global cast of characters. When “we” arrived in ...
