... So we organised everything, and I made a box full of presents that I planned to send home (since my suitcase is already at a bulge and we're only 2 weeks in).

We then decided to hit up the Rutland State Fair that had its opening night tonight, conveniently just down the road from where we were staying. Now for a country town fair, it was actually pretty fun. There were petting zoos, shop stalls, food stalls, rides; about the only ...

We headed back to our hotel for another little spot of napping, and decided that heading ourt for dinner was too much of a struggle. Pizza Hut on the other hand, sounded like a much better idea, so we got that delivered to our room instead. Pizza, garlic bread, ...

... to be sitting outside watching his chickens, and he invited me in. He directed me to the backyard and showed me all of the amenities. They had a kitchen area, a bathroom with an electrical composting toilet, and an outdoor shower without a roof. He was so nice, but it started raining so I didn't get to talk to him much. I've never had an outdoor shower before. It was cut down to chest level on the side facing the forest, so I could look out and ...
