... were a ton of cars stopped so we also stopped to find a hill covered in metal wild horse statues overlooking a valley. We walked up the hill took pictures of the amazing scenery and then got back in the car. Today is our longest planned journey of around 8 hours not including stops. We had an hour or so of flat landscape fields before we crossed into Idaho and back into more amazing scenery and lakes. We had expected the drive to be boring but ...

... had a close encounter with a grizzly bear in Glacier. As they were fixing dinner on their camp stoves one night, Bryant looked over and saw a bear at their campsite about 20 feet away sniffing the air. The group moved away from their food and gathered their bear spray. Luckily the bear sniffed the air a couple times and then left the area. Must not have thought dehydrated meals were ...

... one radio station that came in once in Montana, and not country, pop, or classic rock, but a crazy death metal station. Charlott has been doing a great job getting lessons for the kids to work on in the car during the long drives. We also learn random facts and facts about places and things we see along the way. Tomorrow we will leave Missoula to Miles City, MT where we will spend two nights to give us time to recoup from the long haul. Happy ...
