    In Youngstown Ohio. 690 miles today another 11 hours in saddle. Chicago is just nasty period. I heard a poll before we left on trip that NJ was top state that if it went away no one would mind, I really think it should be Illlinois! The only thing is they have a Sweet Tomatoes!!!! Yeah, that is a salad bar place us WCV'ers go to in Orlando and they rock! Eat your heart out Terry!!!!! LOL Restaurant attached to hotel has best food so far on ...

    ... to a great night had by all. Our hosts, Conrad and RuthAnn and family, have lived in this idyllic little corner of the world for nearly 20 years. Conrad has operated his auto parts recycling business at nearby Alliance for nearly 40 years. RuthAnn is a long serving Teacher, High School Principal, and now School Administrator. Two of their friends include Paul, a retired mailman (the best kind according to now a keen biker, fisherman and traveller). ...

    ... throw bullets to first. He's hitting .179, though, and struck out with men on second and third and one out in the 9th. Final score was 4-3 Scrappers. Plus 15 men left on base...hmmm. I wonder how that might have turned out differently?

    That was it for today's excitement; tomorrow is the big event of the weekend: we're taking a ride on an excursion train pulled by the NKP765, a fully restored steam engine. Should be fun!

    We awoke at five o clock and all piled into the car saying goodbye to Amanda and society for three weeks. The day started out with a three hour trip to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon but before that we got a bit of a history lesson on dads past, visiting Dan and the Kaughmans cabin. Then as we left one of the tires of the car went flat. After stopping for lunch and pumping up the tire we were on our way, or so we thought. Minutes ...
