        July 13-14, 2015 (LC westbound equivalent July 27 - August 21, 1804)

I quickly passed through Omaha NE on my may way to a county road along the west side of the Missouri. First stop was N.P. Dodge Park. Here I found a large park along the river with camping, marina, sports fields, and a great river side path which includes one of many LC markers along the trail. More corn fields on the way to Beresford. We came around a curve and what did we see in a field... were not sure. But it was big with huge horns! As we were getting closer to where the campground should be we see nothing but corn. But then we see an oasis of trees on a hill. This was the campground with beautiful trees and green grass. We found a Geo cache and even played Mah Jongg. A relaxing day!

It was so hot and humid that we knew it was going to be a good storm chase day, we woke up to 2 super-cells on the radar at 8am! Went to Lincoln for BBQ lunch and to get Laurie's camera cleaned before getting into position around Columbus. We positioned ourselves perfectly to witness large sister wedge tornados and a cone tornado as they made their way along highway 281 between Norfolk and Pilger, sadly this system went on to almost completely destroy the small town of ...
