I don't remember what we had for dinner, but for sure the food in Turkey and Greece at modest restaurants is far superior to the very expensive offerings at the most basic places in downtown Amsterdam. Wherever one goes,the smell of pot wafts regularly through the air, though there is no smoking inside the restaurants. ... have other sports we should pursue. But we had fun, and it got us good and hot, so we took Lukie down to the lake for a swim. The water was pretty cold though, so we opted for the heated pool... Well we are almost home. I am sure all us will be happy to get home, in particular Freya (poop on arrival in RV) and Marti (clean up upon arrival). Hopefully we will get back to habits once we are home. We made good time and arrived 1100. We were able to check in and get settled. If we did need to shop we are across from a Super Walmart. ... is a suite belonging to a Backpackers hostel, The lap of luxury for a very low price in terms of what is the norm for Victoria. Tucked away in a quiet residential areas yet still only 3 blocks from BC's provincial government building and the heart of downtown. Wow!

And only two blocks from the harbour and the stunning fireworks they let off to welcome us to Victoria. It was good of them to make us feel so welcome.
