    Summary

Drove 184 miles in 3 hours.

    Highlights

Was a low key day. Had a quick lunch in Greektown Detroit before hitting the road. My gyros was a huge disappointment and Karen's octopus salad was basically inedible. Terrible way to end the visit.

The drive was uneventful and we arrived mid- afternoon which ...

After a shock wake up by my alarm clock at 6 am, we found ourselves waking up to a cold and blearily morning was just like waking up in England blurghhhh :s Shower ,breakfast and van loaded it was time to hit the freeway and head 290 miles to the birthplace of rock and roll, Cleveland. After a fair few hours of driving we landed at the rock and roll hall of fame museum. All the drives are long I must say they are very ...

Okay, normally I would write my blog entry on the close of the day at the venue and rarely on the days off. Today, however, was different. When we arrived, it was roughly 5am, so we all got our rooms and went back to bed. I woke up and went to explore downtown Cleveland.

When I think Cleveland, the only thing that comes to mind is the Cleveland Browns, which is not much. I do not (or at least didn't) think ...

    Cleveland by trolley

... one, but the driver must have been holding it back!
But we were soon at the very impressive City Tower Public Square, where the train terminated. A coffee was the first requirement while we watched what was going on round us.
The trolley ride wasn't till 2pm, so we had a while to kill. The square was all under cover, with shops, and restaurants plus a few offices and banks. We both fancied soup, so decided to have this ...
