    ... and clear and the high reaching deciduous trees "shadow danced" all around us in every peak and valley we passed through. In Pennsylvania the evergreens showed fat fuzzy teddy bear shapes in the sun. They rolled in the gentle wind of the open farm land. This is where the temperature climbed to -6 and water began to show at the edge of the road from the banks. I loved the sound of the spray as the tires hit. A sound of Spring.

    ... was the last waterfall in the area, but I had a plan for one more. We were on Dingmans Creek just a mile or so upstream of Dingmans Falls. The road to the falls was closed, but perhaps we could just follow the creek downstream.     We are still in Milford, Pennsylvania which, happily, is also the home of Blue Stone Studio where David and Joann Greenbaum display their gorgeous pottery and artwork. Some of David's pottery has been manipulated so artfully, that it's difficult to believe it is clay and not marble or glass. He doesn't apply any glazes, but instead uses multiple firings, oxidation and burnishing processes along with etching and throwing ...

    We had just enough snow for the kids to make a snowman. In this pic, Vivi had shed her coat, but Payson had only just put his on; they worked up quite a sweat rolling up all the snow in the whole backyard. But it kept falling after they went to bed, enough that we had a pretty white lawn in the morning. ...
