Once again we drove through Hendon, another town in the family history on our way to East Knoyle from where William Ford & his family were sent back to Chicklade because of the "Poor Law"

... tick on the list. By lunchtime we were in Salisbury for a look at the cathedral. It's a beautiful cathedral, but I liked the Bath Abbey more, the stained glass windows were amazing there. What a joy to have almost 10 days off from travelling and staying in Bournemouth in my brothers house with no particular itinerary! Walking is the theme for this week and Fitbit has clocked up an average of 15000 steps per day!

After leaving Vigo for Southampton we entered the Bay of Biscay, which can be really rough but we were lucky.
