... stop by. It was great! Blue Hole is a spring fed (from Jacob's Well) swimming place that is surrounded by tall beautiful cypress trees. The water was very cold, but oh so enjoyable. Definitely worth the $9.00 entry fee - clean bathrooms too. They close if they get up to capacity, but luckily it was not too crowded the day we were there. So happy we finally got to see Riverwalk and can proclaim it DOES exist. It was well worth the stop.

Greune was once a cotton producing community along the Guadalupe River, but now it is supported by tourists. Gruene Hall was built in 1878 and is Texas' oldest continually operating and most famous dance hall. The dance hall is 6,000 sq. feet and the floors are still the original wooden floors. Many ...

Woke up last night to huge raindrops hitting the RV. I got up and closed the windows and went back to bed. This morning the phone woke me up and I let it ring. It was a short time later that the RV park owners came down and told us to evacuate "the creek is rising real fast". It only took about 30 minutes and the water was up about 5 feet in our former spot. There was a stream of trailers ...
