... was dismantled and shipped from France to Texas and reassembled in Castroville. It looks like a storybook house from times past. The 400 year old heavy timber framework of the house was re-erected in 1998 and the following year brick and mortar were added to enclose the framework. The roofing tiles, doors, window and shutters were shipped to Castroville from France. The exterior of the house was plastered by volunteer craftsmen in late ...

... and had been for a while. So we'll have to get that fixed. But it is a minor thing and apparently evidence of poor workmanship. We visited with Richey's and Gordon's for a while then Ronny & Linda arrived. Their coach is still in the shop, but it's supposed to be completed on Wednesday so that's when they will be arriving. After visiting for a while, we all went out to eat then Bob and I went grocery shopping. We didn't buy much, but we probably bought too much. Tomorrow we ...

He told us he would flat our refuse to pay that much if it were him, and as such wouldn't take the money off us - 'it needs to be changed; you need to demand it be changed'. Big Dog wasn't there but the workers put in 2 gallons of anti-freeze and awayyyy we went. Got about 10 miles and ol Charlie started to get hot again. Back we went, this time we met Big Dog. They looked at the thing and declared we can't fix it until tomorrow. We went and found a campground.....

We have been tubing in the Gauadalupe river in Texas. The tubing was everyones favourite thing so far.

We saw a turtle sliding down a rock, and a lizard was running across water as fast as a rocket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a photo of the T-Shirt that they gave us, it has a map of the river on it.

I have a straw cowboy hat and heaps of people keep saying "howdy cowboy" to me. It is a Texan thing.
