The kingdom of Lesotho, despite this site saying that where we visited is in South Africa, is quite distinct from South Africa, although completely surrounded by it. I assumed it had received some sort of recent independence from SA, but was wrong. Kruger to Drakensburg: Oceans, Mountains & Rivers
... the kids are probably just difficult or what. Oh well, hopefully they are learning. The main reason of the visit was to have one of the classes (maybe 40 students) perform some traditional Zulu songs for us. It was quite powerful and often very moving – some in our group were in tears. Whatever they didn’t have in musical training, they fully made up for in energy and volume.
