The plane trip

... flight and found out they are a dance group, made obvious my some of the guys, one reminded my of lady Gaga. I watched countless TV shows and tried to sleep during the 14 hour flight to LA I think I got about 2 hours on the plane.
Next up..US customs after a few scary stories and maybe too many. TV shows I fully had the palm sweat happening, but the customs officer was so friendly, so I was feeling pretty good by then, now to collect ...

San Francisco!

... and quiet so we enjoyed soaking in the sun. The ride around the city was not as relaxing as it may seem as it was incredibly hilly! So after a good few hours on the bike we done some of the circuit again to go over the Golden gate bridge. The ride over the bridge was extremely windy but it was still really cool to be riding over the bridge unfortunately the day had not cleared up so we still couldn't quite see the top of the bridge. ... fog started to roll in, it got a bit cold. We reached Cambria by sunset and settled in to our last Airbnb accommodation of the sabbatical. We got some take away Thai food for dinner which was very nice and wrapped up for the day.

There was plenty to see North of LA all the way up the coast. A quick chat to Ando back home gave us a good plan on what to see and do as he and his new wife Liz explored this part of the world on their honeymoon recently. When we picked up the hire car we had to take a second look. This thing wasn't much bigger than an elephant’s ****.

... live in a sweet little house right on the beach with big glass windows looking out over the Pacific Coast and the Santa Cruz harbor. Our big ol RV just fit in their driveway. Phew!
They had a delicious, hot meal for us which is always welcomed after trying to cook creatively in our home on wheels. We enjoyed a terrific fire in their backyard and kept them up way too late on a work night. Sorry, guys!
