... more hours wandering around The Presidio military building and courtyards and the Military Cemetery area before heading back to the Palace of Fine Arts for more photos. Having exhausted the daytime, I walked the 7 kms back to the Inn via The Castro for a beer.

By the time I go back to the Inn I was knackered but the day was an overwhelming success. I had learnt so much about the city and specific parts of it...thanks to Bill's 'Famous' SF Tour!

... stop at all the stops so stayed on the next bus until we reached the Golden Gate Bridge. The guide on e next bus was a little more rushed and convinced us to stay on the bus and hop off at the other side of the bridge to take photos which we odd, but once we arrived we realised that the best photo opportunities were really over at the beginning and so decided to walk back over and catch the next bus. Anyway, day one.. Carol and I are missing our beautiful families but we are enjoying ourselves imensily. I wonder what we will do tomorrow? Plenty I'm sure after a fresh full nights sleep.

Until I can pick up a camera connection I can't upload our camera photos, so for now you will just have to settle on a couple of phone pics instead.
