... that the lines on the map were roads; that unlike the east where they had to go around hills and mountains and where they had converted every cow path into a road, MI was flat and roads were laid out square and perpendicular to each other.

When we got to Frankenmuth we were in for a surprise. It was a little town like a diamond in the rough. It's like a Bavarian Village and they were having a festival.
