The Gettysburg address by Abe Lincoln happened here. The union won the battle and was probably the biggest victory in the war. (Room 21 in the hotel is haunted).

... us that we had just missed Arlo Guthrie who played across the street two days prior. He even played the full Alice's restaurant, would have been awesome to see. However as always when travelling in a bus we are too slow getting there.
