    Day 5

    Bit blurry eyed this morning and we get on the road about 830 . Scottys bike has been fixed and is running ok (or seems to be). 400 miles to do today to get to the other side of Houston so mainly riding on the interstate. Blimey it is very hot and humid again.

    Today we took a historic tour, sponsored by the Columbus Chamber of Commerce.  We started at the Stafford Opera House and ended at the Christmas House.  We had a private tour from a lovely lady, Tess, who showed us great Texan hospitality.  After the 2 hour tour we headed to Mikeskas Bar-B-Que for a great dinner.  The ribs were the best we ever ...

    ... to our bikes the rain had...dare I say it...STOPPED! (PS: Two days after we visited Wemberly, the Blanco River overflowed its banks in very heavy rain and 20 residents were lost in the ensuing flood.)
