... the Zabriskie lookout for sunset. It was a bit smoky though so didn't get the best views, but it was another place that just didn't look real. Desolate and barrel but strangely beautiful. Tonight we went to a 'dark sky talk' with a ranger, as the NP has a dark sky certification. What a joke, we stargazed from a brightly lit bloody car park. ... college. I still remember her in diapers! Time does go by fast especially the older we get. I feel like I am chasing time now.

Tomorrow we head for Santa Cruz. Hoping the good weather holds for the beach which I am anxious to see. I miss big ocean waves in Bellingham - guess that's cause we don't have any!
