      ... the pilots seemed to be able to manage everything well.

      All I am trying to say that the weather has been bad in Jakarta at least since Saturday, December 27. So, it is also possible that the bad weather story in Surabaya is true since. The area near the hotel where we stayed at in Jakarta was flooded due to the rain falling almost non-stop. Please pray for the passengers, flight crews, and the families left at home and surrender everything to the Almighty ...

      ... make sure we are not missing deadlines. Called the banks. Spoke to Greg for hours. Stopped the mail until we're back. Making arrangements with mom for Winda to drop off Freya. Emailed all our neighbors to watch over our house while we are gone. Getting ready to miss our little puppy, but excited to see my in-laws!

      ... and then visited awhile. I attended Ripon College for the first 2 years of college, and now my brother teaches marketing there! Small world. We stopped at the library so we could see a model of the Bismarck that he built - out of paper!!!!! Every single bit except the rigging, which is quilting thread, is paper!!! Amazing!!

      ... moving pretty early, as many of the pilots, especially the warbirds, go out for early morning flights.

      I got up and wandered around, logged onto the web to post yesterday's blog, and generally relaxed while Alex slept in. Considering he didn't go to bed until midnight, and me until 12:30 in the morning, the sleep was welcome, and still not nearly enough.
