Today was our last day in Branson and we're sorry to say goodbye. The day started off sunny and bright once again. We have had exceptional weather this whole trip so far. No rain since a little bit on our first day. It's been really warm, in the 90s every day, but there is no humidity so it's not bad. We finally got back to Branson in time to hit the Legends in Concert show at Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater. On stage were Johnny Cash, Celine Dion, The Blues Brothers, The Temptations and Elvis! It was a really good show and the performers were terrific (except for Celine, who had a good voice but did a really bad job of impersonation).
... Lots and lots going on. We checked into our resort and were served lemonade and cookies, which really hit the spot. Took a quick shower, changed and went right out to dinner and a show. ... retro candy from Dick's 5 & 10. Then we started back to our hotel. The traffic in Branson is unreal and this trip was no exception. It took quite some time to go the short distance but we finally got to the hotel to pick up my dad and head once again to the Imax complex. A favorite restaurant of my parents is McFarlain's. My mom loves their fried green tomatoes. We were happy they didn't have a wait and we got seated right away. ...
... met take a full family picture. Our waiter came by several times teasing us that we needed dessert but there was no way! He told us early on to think of dessert so we could save room for it but I think he knew that most people eating there don't eat dessert. There is just so much food.
