... oversold on their flights out. I asked the gate agent…nope no other seats. I was stuck. But she did find me a flight out of Atlanta with a connection to Detroit and then Madison and I’d get home at 10:10. I took it. She cancelled the Milwaukee reservation. It gets later and later and still no good news. Still more delays, they still don’t know how to fix the issue. Now the pilots run out of hours. Holy **** I’m stuck here. ...

Gail knew of a camping spot in El Paso, nooo Nellie not Texas, it is in Illinois. It was behind the local Super 8 Motel. The spot had 30 amp electric only so we were able to watch a little TV and had lights to see by. Total cost for the night was $15.00. We had driven 9 hours and only went 205 miles.

I sure hope accidents and cold are not a harbinger of things to come. All in all it was a good day. ...

12:17 AM 3343 miles 181 gallons of gas 61 hours on the road (drive time) We left Pennsylvania at 9:00 am today (actually yesterday). 15 hours later, here we are. The crew got some sleep the last few hours of the drive. Eli sat up front with me cause he wasn't feeling great. We had 3 hours of conversation ranging from what he's looking forward to in 6th grade to foreign policy and economics. Gotta love his curiosity. What a way to finish the ...
