This morning started with packing of luggage and checking of rooms to make sure we didn't leave anything behind. After all this, we set off for a 4 hour bus trip to New York, the Big Apple! Our bus driver Curtis, who is a born and bred New Jersey native was a font of knowledge and trivia along this trip. He did a great job at keeping the boys engaged. ... with joy, we headed over to the 9/11 Memorial Museum. Spending a quick 2 hours in the very well illustrated and respectful museum, we saw several remains of the twisted steel from both towers, dismantled fire trucks, and unnerving photos of jumpers and injured survivors. To enjoy our last night in New York we went to Nobu (fancy Japanese restaurant) and had a wonderful 4-course dinner before heading back to our hotel to pack-up for travel to Washington tomorrow.

... I saw another middle aged fella and his wife thumping up the stairway from the subway dragging their wheeled suitcases, spotting a Starbucks and announcing in a loud Texas accent, "Thank god,." ... our little tour guide for the day. We entered the subway ( we thought we would get a cab) as it was a fare way but now we had a tour guide with us we were okay. We got the train to the other side of the bridge. Wandered around and little old gentleman gave is directions to a nice Pizza Restaurant in a place called Dumbo. That means "Under the Bridge" had a lovely lunch, a ride on the big peoples Carousel and then we walked back over THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE. That was one of the ...
