... like I should be back at work, and for another, that it was weird how no school playground contains any grass whatsoever. Either painted concrete or indoor/outdoor track material. After getting cleaned up from the workout, I headed off for the USS Intrepid. There's no subway line that gets really close yet, so I had to get off near Times Square and walk a good ways. 6 blocks doesn't sound like much, but New York doesn't have standard sized blocks and it's a hot ...

After lunch, it was a shorter time at Ellis Island. Starting to get tired so we didn't spend too ...

... I just thought it would be too heartbreaking. I paid my respects in a different way. It's a very emotional area. So much pain and loss for reasons unknown to the world. The next step on our downtown excursion was Wall Street. No Leonardo but we did get word that Sarah Jessica Parker was filming. Didn't bother hanging about though as there were bulls balls that needed groping! We did detour past the Trinity Church which was beautiful inside and out! We sat inside for ...

... Tim Keller is a name which is becoming well known in Australia. This church meets on three campuses around NYC and has its central office on Broadway in Times Square. The church could be described as a well-kept secret, at least for those who are not used to the hustle and bustle of New York. When these intrepid travelers finally found the sought after worship place, it was actually in the Salvation Army facility on the way to Lower Manhattan.
