... lodge for the House of Savoy. It was unbelievable - so vast it reminded me of Versailles. It had lay in ruins until 1990 when the EU granted over 100 million euros to restore it. You look at something like this and think, you know, Karl Marx maybe had a point. From Pavia, we headed to Asti, Originally we were heading for a Vin Yard with the ability for an overnight stop with facilities (from our camperdstop book), sadly we got there and there was nothing so headed for our alternative Campeggio Cagnidi Asti - It was a predominately permanent vans but with a few touring pitches.

We didn't actually do anything here so nothing to report - Just a pin in the map.

Boys spent the afternoon tree surfing while Gran and I caught up on some washing, it always feels great when you have a case full of clean clothes when you are traveling.
Spritz in the local piazza with enough nibbles - that always accompany pre-dinner drinks- to feed a small family!! casual walk through town before selecting the nights dinner venue. So not looking forward to cooking when I get home!!

... all in need of repairs, but no money to do it. Once outside, I rang Giorgi who found my purse and then organised for Rosanna to pick it up.
Rosanna had invited us to lunch Monday, but as we were going then, she made it Sunday. Just that her brother and uncles and aunts couldn't make it as they had other commitments that day.
So Rosanna and Mauro picked us up at half eleven and we went back to Murisengo. Her children, Gabrielle, and Alessandrio were there. And her ...

... roasted capsicum , zucchini in carpion, then risotto con le fungi, mains of lo stinco (roast leg, same cut as Osso Bucco), potatoes, carrots, and salad and dessert of strawberries gelato and tort a di zucca. Enjoyed every mouthful but my stomach is getting bigger and bigger!
All of Giorgi's family were there - Marucchia and Marco, Aldo, Piņa, Manuela and Stefano and Ricardo. Lorenzo had a date at the movies, more important than us! We learnt through ...
