Last day with our children - leaving Ukraine
... you think we should go." Just as I looked up at him to say "I don't know", I see a Best Western hotel sign; we walk in and say, "we have a reservation." The clerk says, "no you don't, all my reservations have checked in." I show him the address of our hotel, and he says, "that's not far." (I think, "where have we heard this before?"). Day 5 Warsaw
... the motel we are staying in is The Westin a 5 star motel it had the most amazing lift on the out side of the building it was such a shame we only had to go the 4th floor when the lift went to the 20th. Poland
... would like to say it cheered me up, but the Old Town in Warsaw isn’t really that old for obvious reasons. With virtually everything being flattened during WWII the Old Town has been completely reconstructed. It looks quite nice, and many a tourist was afoot, but in the end it still made me feel a little sad. There really shouldn’t be any reason for my melancholy though, as it is a testament to a people who just got on with it, and built back that which had been destroyed. ...
Still in Sieniawa~
So I'm still in Sieniawa. I already left Ewa's place along with my mom and we are staying at my gradma's house for now. She has a farm with chickens, geese, and she also has a dog. Many dogs from houses walk around the streets just as the people do. Keep in mind, Sieniawa is not really a city or much of a town at all. It's more of a village. A few strays also walk around; I even saw a few kittens ...
