... but they must be insane to even consider it. Once we left El Capitan and drove into Yosemite Village itself, the spectacular views surrounded us in every direction. The other most recognizable image from Yosemite is Half Dome - another huge granite outcrop which looks like it was once a dome that was cut down the middle. It overlooks the canyon and is a spectacular sight - such an iconic image, absolutely stunning to see in reality. ...

... that they could grab a space - to witness the spectacle. An initial message would be relayed from Camp Curry to the people high up on Glacier Point, who would yell back, "Hello Camp Curry!" The command would then be yelled back, "Let the fire fall!" At this point, staff from the camp, who had been up at Glacier Point all afternoon creating slow-burning embers, would push the burning embers over the precipice of the mountain, creating a curtain of fire which then fell down ...

... lady in the showers called Margaret who was on our trip- things were looking up - girly chats to be had.

Went down to breakfast and Anne went to the desk to let them know the camera was coming and was told that FedEx doesn't come to Tuolomne- a D'Oh moment- but would be delivered to Yosemite Valley and be sent up on the tourist bus- 5 days away on our trip would leave plenty of time for delivery. ... s easy to zone them out when the landscape in front of you is the Yosemite national park.

We get to Glacier Point expecting to walk at least 20 mins but we forget we are in America, so the parking station is close to the vista point like 300m. The panorama in front of us is amazing. The half dome, upper and lower Yosemite falls amidst a gorgeous valley. Hinesh is walking over the rocks to get to better view points. I watch him walk shakily ...

... that you take just cannot do justice to the real thing but you click away wildly, regardless, just as a memory that you were actually here and saw this amazing place.
