On leaving Mariposa, it wasn't long before the speed limit slowed us right down, and the road became a single lane. The road meandered along the course of an almost-dry riverbed, while huge granite walls towered over us. The entire journey along this section of road was punctuated with cries of,"Wow!" - neither of us could believe the scenery was merely the outskirts of the national park. Lush green pine ...
