... comes an arrival and on the 8th of August 2013, we had a very special arrival as Rory Milton Greenaway arrived to light up our lives...and night times. His middle name, Milton, is a nod to his great-grandad whom he never met but we know he'll be looking down on him and keeping an eye on us all.

Our other two arrivals were of the furry variety as Dotty the Beagle and Squidgy the Pug ...

Took a walk through town, past the harbour, and up the hill to the NCI Observation post. More tourists than over the weekend, but still not crowded as the photos show. At last census the population of Boscastle was just on 900. So smaller than most country Victoria towns, but with more facilities. Really quite isolated though. Nearest hospital is in Plymouth noover an hour away, although there is a Dr's surgery and clinic in town. ...

... A 100 km or a 100 mile event did not seem a good way of spending time. Plenty of ambulances confirmed our thoughts. No Steve. Think we'll stay in the car. Then we saw the the Dartmoor ponies.... And you couldn't get me back in the car. One in particular definitely wanted me to stay. These ponies roam freely just as cows and sheep do and are owned by farmers. They are not wild ponies but are privately owned and quite happy to have you around. Hey Diddle ...
