... there were a lot of English accents among the crowds (especially students). This is where I was reminded that I was still in Britain.

I wish I could have ventured out and visited other, more rural, parts of Scotland, but unfortunately I just didn't have enough time. Maybe some day I will go back and get the chance to learn more about Scottish culture which is, after all, part of my own heritage!

... best ride on the bus!!! Will add details later, and mention the lack of air conditioning etc etc but basically we went as far as Fort Augustus and Fort William. Lots of stops. Heavy rain once but only when we were on the road. Absolutely magical scenery at Glencoe . . . And great every where else. Got back 12.5 hours after we'd started. Meal at TGI Friday in Castle ...

... on the horse with one shoe one and rode the horse in my sock. I was a bit angry and bitter the rest of the ride but I made it through it. After that disaster I decided to spend the night in the hostel so I can dry off and do a load of laundry to get the smell of river out of my clothes.
