... them.

Our lodging tonight is in Dodge City, Kansas. It is where Wyatt Erp tamed a portion of the Wild West. The time period is preserved in the Boot Hill area, with wooden sidewalks and western building structures. TV's "Gunsmoke" series was based on a Dodge City, and there is even a Gunsmoke Road in downtown. Something I find humorous is that the Kansas Teachers' Hall of Fame is in the same building as the Gunslingers Wax Museum!

... was very interesting to see the history of Cowboys and Indians. We then wandered the small city seeing a few statues before looking for some lunch. We had exhausted just about everything in the city so we headed back to the hotel to do washing after managing to put it off for two weeks.

Dodge City is a small town with its claim to fame being the legend of Wyatt Earp and wild west shoot - outs. They even have a re-enactment every night in the mocked up wild west Boot Hill area. We arrived in one piece at a less than ...

Cool place, right across the street from the cemetery. Great breakfast with a real retired Marshall. (kinda short though) Not much going on since it is a month before the season starts
