This morning when I started I had to stop and put my rain jacket on because it was so cold (20c) and the cross winds were fierce. Route 50 was a combination of Highway (75 mph+) and 2 laner (65 mph) I was smiling on the highway going 80+. The landscape changed ...

... tee shirt and off you go. We have driven some sections further west but to those who hadn't must have been a disapointment... Dodge city has a touch of old west frontier town, even if today what we see are many meat processing plants on the road side. Be sure to revisit the blog for more ...

I then read in the paper that the tornado ally was now twice it's size and Dodge is right in there.Didn't sleep that well and woke at 2.30am and up at 3.30am for a shower. The cab driver advised me to ring Amtrak at 4am to make sure it was on time which I did and it was. I rang him and he come around and dropped me off at the station.Have fun, because you know I will be.Tone ...
