... They were built over corn stalks with round heads and hats. We saw all sorts of costumes including roaring 20’, the sixties, the 70s, etc., and outfits from different walks of life. A spokesperson for the village said, the kookier and brighter the outfit, the better. Villagers put these “leaf people” out at the autumn equinox and they attract visitors to the village.

Stopped into a sweet little place for a seafood dinner (fresh seafood from Maine) along the way and then it was home to our cheap and cheerful hotel for the night and time for retail round up!
