The bridge connects the NY and VT sides of Lake Champlain and Crown Point Fort ruins, museum, state park and Champlain Lighthouse are on the end of the NY side of this new bridge.     Mallett's Bay is located on the 40 mile Island Line Trail. We biked about 12 miles of this beautiful, well maintained trail that includes waterfront and parks which connects Burlington to South Hero Island. A large portion of this trail is a former Rutland Railroad railbed (stopped running in the 1960s) which includes a very long causeway across Malletts Bay.     Malletts Bay is a popular vacation spot with campgrounds and four big marinas. We chose Champlain Marina because Linda and Brian on Splashdown (met in Sorel) stayed here 21 days and really liked it. The cruise across the lake was beautiful even though it was hazy and breezy. ...
