... alcohol or a seat to their restaurant you were constantly avoiding people, more so here than anywhere else we have been. At night it was even worse, more that I thought it could be!
Once we were back into our 12 person room we spent a bit of time relaxing, showering before walking back into the city to met up for our Tapas tour. This tour was excellent! We met a lot of great people form it including 3 girls from Sydney. Hale boy was also on the tour and a great guy ...
Today we went on an all day small group tour to Girona, a medieval town about an hour from Barcelona towards the French border. It was founded in around 76BC by the Romans. It had lots of narrow winding medieval streets with white sandstone buildings and flowers in window boxes. There was a large Roman ...
... in Nice! See you soon!!!!! XOXO Ciao Made it to Nice!!! It smells like apples and the new Bay store in Waterloo! Both of which I LOVE!!!! Staying at Villa Saint Expurary Beach Hostel - its exactly like being in college so far. Trendy, dirty, and advertisements for booze everywhere. I'm just happy to be surrounded by like minded people right now, the companies nice. Bikram yoga tomorrow! Just finishing my bag of tortilla chips and having a tea then heading out to explore MUAH MUAH ...
... because I was feeling really sick with a head cold and chest infection but the bits that I did see were amazing. Before arriving in Nice we stopped in at a French perfumery where we saw the process of making perfume and perfumed soaps etc, I found it really interesting and of course brought some perfume at the end of the tour. In no time we were arriving in Nice after getting a peak of Monaco from the cliff tops. We checked into the hotel which was only 2 blocks away from the ...
... made him feel so sick that he always uses a knife and fork for everything and never touches food unless he uses his dettol. It was one of those very strange but funny moments. After the police station I met up with a group from my tour in the markets at La Rambla (La Rambla is the main shopping street in Barcelona). We walked down La Rambla to the pier where we had lunch at a tapas restaurant overlooking the water. When we ordered we didn't put two and ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Bonic B&B Barcelona
Perfect location, safe, clean and friendly
Location! Location! Location! If that is what you are looking for, Bonic is the best place to be. Conveniently located next to the Ramblas, and Drassanas Metro Station, but just far enough to be quiet. Walking distance from most sightseeing, shopping and beach. Next to the perfect location, the safety of the place and area are also excellent. I travelled there as a single woman on my own, and felt safe every second of my stay. And all the positive things that are said in previous comments are true... Rooms are nicely decorated (their website www.bonic-barcelona.com shows how they really are), clean place, friendly people, good breakfast,... Can really recommend Bonic Barcelona.
I stayed there with my boyfriend for a couple of nights...it was a great surprise to see such a nice place. Bonic is more than a Bed & Breakfast. Is a friendly place to stay while you enjoy Barcelona. The owner is simply the most kind and attentive person I ever met on a B&B type of hotel. Everything extremely clean and the decoration is very tastefull. The breakfast is delicious and complete! Not even 3 * hotels can serve such a well made bkfast. Towels, robe, linnen...everything so clean and fresh! Of couse the rooms are not big and you do need to share the bathrooms (that are cleanned several times a day)...but that's what a B&B is...everywhere! And this one has the real hotel service with a B&B price...free internet...and the owner gives you all the instructions needed...for shpping...museum...beach...whatever you need to know..he is totally aware of the city! I highly recommend the place!!!! If you are looking for good price and excellent service...then you MUST go to BONIC.
Stay with Fernando and you will not be disappointed. This is a wonderfully central location but on a quiet side street. Easy access walking to things or the Metro. I liked that the Bonic is not marked as a hotel on the outside. It is like staying in a beautiful, recently restored flat. Fernando has great taste and the decorations are lovely throughout. The rooms are small but comfortable. The bathrooms are beautiful. To a traveler, nice robes and plush towels are a luxury. There is a complete and very tasty breakfast including treats from the bakery downstairs and excellent coffee (a rarity when traveling). It tided me over nicely until the Spanish lunch hour at 2 p.m. The bowl of apples in the hall was also welcome. Fernando was very helpful with the rest of my itinerary and speaks quite a few languages fluently. Free Internet access. Several reviews mention the courtyard downstairs. It is not elaborate but I would not call it scary. I would highly recommend the Bonic.
We stayed in a double room with a terrace for two nights. I couldn't fault this B&B at all and the friendly service made the weekend absolutly perfect. You are greated by the owner with a cool beer and a seat in the open aired terrace. The rooms are stunningly decorated as is the whole house. Location is perfect for evenings out or to access the beach (a two minute walk). I would not hesitate to stay here again !!!
I stayed for 2 nights in a single rm. A stay here felt a little like visiting with distant friend/relative in their house rather than a commercial hotel.
Feel at home
Once passed the courtyard which is certainly not in a good state...what a nice surprise: The owner welcomed us (me and my colleague on a shopping trip) at his nice place with a lovely smile and a free breakfast. Gracias! Just the best way to start a 2-day stay in Barcelona.
We stayed in a small, but nicely furnished and clean twin room. Too bad there is only bathrooms to share, but as they apparently never rent more than 4 of their 8 rooms at a time, the bathrooms should not be too crowded and were very clean.
Thanks also to Fernando, the owner, for the great advice concerning restaurants and for the extraordinary help to catch a cab in the pooring rain on our departure.
I stayed at Bonic B&B for 3 nights in October. It was very clean, the proprietors were extremely friendly, welcoming, and informative, and the setting was relaxing and comfortable. I stayed in a single room which had a full-sized bed. Unfortunately the room was without a window but it still felt quaint and comfortable; the bed was perfect for a great night's sleep. The B&B is located just off the south end of Las Ramblas so it's walking distance to many tourist activities, the beach, and many great restaurants and bars yet it is very quiet for that great night's sleep.
