... guide and the rest of our group to arrive. Once all together we followed our guide to see where the rich and famous stay and shop. Capri is only a summer holiday place. In winter the shops are closed and most people go back to their city residences. The rain had stopped by now so we walked past perfumeries where sales people tried to entice us inside by spraying their sweetness in our direction we were walking past. It's frustrating not having wi-fi at the hostel to check room prices and availability, which will have some bearing on my eventual decision. I notice it's pouring rain outside and am glad to be indoors. A bit of map-examining later, I hear a crack of thunder - I look up to see a double rainbow formed outside. A bit later there's an awesome loud roll of thunder, but ...

... took about 2 hours to get to the beach at the bottom.

We then booked a private boat to tour from Positano to Amalfi. We stocked up with some wine and beer for the trip first of course. The scenry was spectacular! houses are built into the edges of the cliffs with almost vertical stairs cut into the rock. It was a really nice way to see the coast and the boat ride, looking at the scenery while sipping on Italiian wine ...
