There are nice parks in the southern side of the old town (which is the end of the boat tour). I can imagine how crowded these parks will be in summer time. Brugges is the wonderful mixture of France, England and Holland. Even in the freezing rain, I helplessly fall in love with this city.

... some cute winding streets and ended up in “graffiti alley”. To solve the graffiti problem, Ghent only allows graffiti in designated places throughout town. This alley was the largest section and as we strolled through it, there was a small group creating some new designs. Well, it's only taken me a week, but I've finally found the time and energy to sit down and write a bit about our stay in Belgium so far....It's been a bit of a whirl wind with no signs of slowing down for at least another week; but with only the weekends and evenings to explore Gent and other areas of Europe, we're taking every chance we get to experience the true European lifestyle.
