    ... Whilst on our way we encountered a terrific thunderstorm overhead which made us both jump! We arrived at Steve and Norma's house around 5pm.     ... and watched the sunset from there. I've seen some spectacular sunsets over the past few weeks.     It was big time - just about everyone was at the parade.

    I even got in it for a little bit - to have my photo with "Pizza". Lots of goodies thrown from the vehicles - like Mardi Gras.

    Then it was off to enjoy the day. We did decide to skip the fireworks later that night, the weather wasn't the greatest.
