Tonight we had a barbecue prepared by our staff. Hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, coleslaw and broccoli salad and chips, ice cream and cookies for dessert. Very nice evening. Tomorrow is travel day to Homestead.
... br> The week closed with some nice goodbye's, as we won't see Mom & Dad for several months. With luck, our next visit with them will be in the British Virgin Islands. It's hard to imagine being in the BVI's with Toutou having just returned back to Boston to finish work, the boat back in Annapolis and the kids and I living out of hotels and rented houses.

A very busy day , finishing with a great pork loin BBQ, dinner by our hosts, and again home after all the lights were out next door. I guess T & T wonder where these OLD FOLKS get to all day.
First of all, let me say the title of this journal, To The South Pole, is vastly exaggerated!!! No simple tourist EVER gets to the South Pole..indeed the adventurers of old ...did so at their peril.
