... have been visiting friends Chuck and Jan Jordan at Pt Charlotte, and had lunch out with them out near the entrance to Pt Charlotte harbour, a place called Placida on the Gasparilla Sound. We walked out a long jetty (ex railway crossing) nearby, after lunch, and all finished up gasping in the 33c heat before making it back to the cars. (We were reminded that "only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun" (or worse, 2pm 33c sun at 80% humidity and no breeze!))
