American friends from South Africa, of Todd & Talleys, had invited us to their home for a 'shared ' meal - Maritsa repeating her Oxtail stew that was a hit at their last years dinner, and Garry showing off his skill with a newly acquired recipe, we have named Chuck's Chicken Enchiladas.

Thank god for FaceTime and iMessage. But still. Technology can only go so far... I'm overrrrrr it. Long distance relationships suckkkk.
Especially when he's doing all this interesting stuff and I'm stuck behind a computer five days out of the week. This is where Dan says: "soon honey. Soon".

... to get a full 18 holes in today on a cart.. The golf here is extremely affordable …ie $15 with a cart and play as long as you like on the 27 hole course. Guess that will change next month, as we see the ‘snowbirds’ are arriving already.
A busy weekend , with Todd turning 40 and Talley wanting to celebrate by throwing a party in his honour.. About 30 people attended and we all enjoyed a lovely balmy evening, with lots of mingling and good ...
... our individual tsates and personal preferences, and the full kitchen and front porch area with barbeque grill went pretty much un-utilized. This sort of place would be much better suited for a family, a longer more extended stay compared to one night, or someone looking for a break from all the hustle bustle of a more traditional beach resort. Again, this all comes down to individual preferences like everything else in life.
12/24/12: To my lifetime bird list (increased 4 fold in Africa) I have now added Skua, snow petrels ,Shag's were nesting and showing great concern and sharing behaviors (Cormorant cousin), Antarctic tern and doubtless more. I have encountered Albatross on past adventures and expect they will be 'ship followers' ...
