    ... and there was another wedding taking place so we didn't stay long. It was a pretty little church. We also saw the Medieval lavatorio where the women washed clothes.

    We are in the village of Canneto on Lipari in the Aeolian Islands. It is a picture perfect little fishing town by the sea centered by the Catholic Church with a few bars and trattoria.     ... we went up to a bar for a beer after another day on the beach. As usual, we picked up some rubbish as we went. This time an embarrassed looking local handed over a bottle top to add to our collection. Maybe Jo's idea of providing a positive model for the other beach goers is getting some traction??     ... street, the signs gave out. Dead reckoning and swearing eventually led us back on track more than a few times. Not sure if it is easier to steer or to navigate but we were both a bit frazzled by the time we got to Cefalu and found a park.
