... garden of lemon trees that eventually led us to a lemoncello factory. We had one more lemon gelato for the road and I couldn't resist a bottle of lemoncello to take for our journey to Matera (NB: mum I took your warning about the deadly lemoncello hangover- we are drinking it slowly, there's still plenty left for Sail Croatia). Matera is the home of the sassi* - a really indescribable (though in saying that - I will try) village of cave dwellings. *[sassi translates to rocks in ...

We had a very pleasant dinner last night with folks from Lafeyette, Louisiana & 2 ladies from Vermont. Before & during dinner we had 50 miles/hour side winds which caused us to list strongly to the right (port side).

... seemed to empty of most people, leaving behind a few vacationers and locals. Looks like the people of Capri will have 4 days to rest before folks come in again. Ladies, there is a lovely perfume shop in Capri that you must visit. Lemon and natural scents, there's also a store in Sorrento, but the factory is in Capri.

Overall a great busy day. Luckily tomorrow should be a little lighter with Positano, Amalfi and more of Sorrento if I have time.
