We had one more lemon gelato for the road and I couldn't resist a bottle of lemoncello to take for our journey to Matera (NB: mum I took your warning about the deadly lemoncello hangover- we are drinking it slowly, there's still plenty left for Sail Croatia). Matera is the home of the sassi* - a really indescribable (though in saying that - I will try) village of cave dwellings. *[sassi translates to rocks in ...

Ladies, there is a lovely perfume shop in Capri that you must visit. Lemon and natural scents, there's also a store in Sorrento, but the factory is in Capri.
