The Amalfi Coast

A travel blog entry by paul-jules

We arrived in Sorrento, only to find we had made a critical error in judgment when booking our room. We highly recommend that when choosing a hotel, you pick one with a reception desk (or at least a place you are able to check into). Of course, we didn't know this at the time of booking, but when we arrived at our hotel, Blurooms. We rang, but …

It was a bit cloudy, with sun and cloudy periods predicted. As I have an ear infection and do not want to swim, we decided that Pompeii was where we would head. After breakfast, we got ready and took off for the town. We stopped into a place that sells tickets as we had left our street map behind, to get directions to the train station. We purchased our train tickets there, which was a great idea as there was a long queue when we got to the train station.
