Well it's the first day being temporarily unemployed. Feels weird knowing I won't be going back to the hospital to work. Got a lot accomplished. My passport arrived finally. We got the hitch installed and the trailer reserved. We got to spend the morning with sweet friends and their 12 horses and numerous cats. Had a blast feeding carrots and apples to the horses. ... We ended up heading to a trout pond for an hour - Matt was thrilled to catch 2 trout. The owner was really nice to him - he was having trouble catching the 2nd trout (with corn kernels!) and I explained we were pressed for time. Day 5: Attempted a quiet, lazy day

... On the 3rd attempt, the fire was ginormous!!

Then Matt and Esen had us cheering and hollering as they put on some cool dance routines for our entertainment - proving they inherited the dancing gene from their fathers.

We absolutely loved the freedom to make as much noise as we wanted and not have to worry about neighbors. So wonderful to have our own secluded space.

Day 4: All about riding!

... to eat often and Ashley struggled with her. After 15-20 mins, the owner took action and brought Ashley up and tethered her horse to his. She enjoyed the rest of her ride and his prompt action prevented her frustration.

Day 2: Super duper wild tube ride

... put the little ones in the creek a little lower down so they could skip the faster rapids which scared them. The rest of us loved the adrenaline rush of the first section.

The last section is pretty calm so Phan let Esen ride in his own tube and do the last section 3 or 4 times - which he loved. Before this, he sat in either Phan or Thao's lap.
