We woke around 7:45am to footsteps. The guest? It slowly transpired that there were actually 3 extra 'guests' in the other room. The man I saw the previous night was glimpsed again though the open door, a woman who I 'met' because she didn't lock the toilet door, and another man emerged as we were leaving. Quite where all these people fit in this tiny, poky condo, and why they were all there, we have no earthly idea. No eye contact was made, no explanation ...

Today was a good day exploring Vermont. We saw lots of great covered bridges. Designed like this to stop the bridges getting icy and also to preserve their longevity. We stopped at the Bridge of Flowers, saw glacial potholes, iconic white churches and generally some beautiful driving. No festival in Woodstock but enjoying the tranquil town! Next stop New ...

We arrived on time, asked a friendly policeman which way to head out of the station for a taxi and then joined the taxi queue on 8th ...

... ll see a name you recognise!! We then had to head to Randolph to collect some bowling shoes for Jesse as he is in a bowling tournament on Sunday. Arrived home just after the bicyclists - that's the term they use. Ian and Duff had had a great ride so Ian was feeling very satisfied. Pizza for dinner and then the suitcases called. Managed to pack a bit more efficiently this time but will probably need to send another parcel home from New York.(The ...

Today Lin took another day off from school to show us more of Vermont. We headed west over to Rochester first so that we could meet Lin's sister Sue. It was lovely to meet her and now we have met the whole family except for her brother Paul from Florida. We then drove north through the Granville Gulf to again join Interstate 89 to Burlington. The Gulf is the American name for a river valley or a ravine. Burlington is on the shores of ...
