Good morning from The Star Princess! We have had a wonderful couple of days at sea. We have been relaxing and enjoying way too much food! Not surprisingly, the kids are 2 of only 30 children on board so they pretty much have the kids' club to themselves. Our room is small, but we dont spend much time there. When we left San Francisco, it had to have been 80 degrees and so sunny. We walked to the pier to get on the cruise ...

... and Kombucha, even several types of Chia! I walked back to the ship and started some laundry. As soon as we were underway, we have a safety drill training for what to do if there is trouble and where to meet - called a "muster" spot. They had some cute kids as volunteers. One of the goals of the trip was to paddle out to an island where there is an Eagle's nest. That nest has been there about 13 or 14 years. We saw a parent eagle and two eaglets. They were born in June and man were they HUGE. I like the kayaking wayyyyy more than I thought I would. Ended up being ...

... so sad at the end, minus the Frenchman. And the beautiful friendship part. I thought I’d relax, since most people were heading out for excursions at 7. I had time - nothing but.

At 9 or so, I sauntered off the ship to the port of Ketchikan. This town is known for 1) salmon, 2) prostitution, 3) misty fjords. If you ask the cruise line, it’s known for 1) precious gems and 2) seaplane rides, 3) OMG the shopping! There were two ...
