... in for the night. The rain pummelled for hours on the rooftop. We remained dry. The next morning we walked up to and along the shorline in the partly sunny morning air. Heavy waves from the previous nights storm still pounded the beach. Pretty.

... as we were on the right road, we would just keep going until we got to the Hilton Garden. So, so wrong. We were on paths, not roads, out in the middle of somewhere. It was beautiful country, but rather lonely out there. We finally pulled over and Rich got out his Garmin. Never leave home with just one GPS.

... more intelligent than our opossums, but unfortunately for them, NOT! They are a little bigger than the opossum.

Cortland is a small town, we went out for dinner to a pub called 'Hairy Tony's'. I think our restaurants and pubs are much nicer and our meals are more attractive, us kiwis obviously take more pride in presentation. Interestingly enough we found one of the wine labels that we grow for - Kim ...

... flittering through the rushes of the swampland of Montezuma. The huge vegetable farms in the Buffalo area surprised me; fields of cabbage for as far as the eye could see.
