Chill Day #3

Today's reruns of choice were episodes of NCIS, conveniently screened on the same channel as the Law & Order marathon from yesterday. Now we may have still had leftovers, and we may have still been chilling around the hotel until mid afternoon.

We did decide however, that since we had so much time to spare and had explored most of the town already (think of Rutland as like a Bunbury with mountains), that we should start packing ...

So today was pretty much the exact same as yesterday; chill, explore, and chill some more (I'm a poet and I didn't even know it :P). Armed with a stomach full of toast and grape jam (because apparently that's popular up here, and not as weird as it sounds), today's reruns of choice were Law and Order SVU.

After a while we decided to go exploring again, so today, instead of stepping out of the hotel and going left, we stepped out and went right. We found a Bed Bath ...

Our first day with no plans, so what do we do? Sleep in of course! We did have to get up eventually, seeing as breakfast finished at 10am (so of course we went down at 9.30am). After breakfast though, we vegged out in our room watching re-runs of anything we could find on TV.
We did eventually get hungry, so decided to go out and have a walk around to see what we could find. We ended up finding ...

This morning with Patrick was horrible, so we are no longer traveling together. He looked at me with pity and disgust and indignantly said he'd never understand me. I half expected him to spit on my shoe when he said it. He yelled in my face that I'm an irresponsible citizen, because I don't take an interest in politics by reading the New York Times. I don't really understand why it bothered him so much. I believe there are plenty of educated, ...

Ticonderoga (52 miles)

... paid for it all and even bought my dinner. He got the hotel because he wanted to print maps, but he never ended up doing that. It seemed like a waste of money to me. 90% of the times that we've had showers at camp, he hasn't taken one, so I don't know why he'd get a hotel room. It didn't fit with his norm. We'll go over on the ferry to Vermont tomorrow, and then he'll start heading south as I continue ...
