      ... my iPhone was working even though my service wasn't activated so I stopped fairly often to ensure I was going the right way. I did have to backtrack a few times but nothing major. At one point I was on the side of the freeway in the rain (still) battling traffic and splashes of mud in my face.       ... the wind picked up, and by the time the food had arrived the downpour started. We ran for cover with our food! We managed to have our desserts back at the table but on a slightly uncomfortable damp seat! In the evening we had ?? Pamplemousse was the very first village in Mauritius and is one of the most representative icons of Mauritius. Pamplemousse was named for the citrus like fruit introduced by the Dutch from Java.
