    ... As I stuck my head out from the cockpit to inspect further, a whale leapt out from the calm sea about fifty meters from the side of the boat, its huge head and flippers making one massive, loud splash as it landed. Not expecting it at all, certainly not that close, I jumped out my skin. It's one way to wake up in the morning. I was just annoyed I didn't have my camera to capture the moment, but it was over so quickly I doubt I would have caught it anyway.

    ... my iPhone was working even though my service wasn't activated so I stopped fairly often to ensure I was going the right way. I did have to backtrack a few times but nothing major. At one point I was on the side of the freeway in the rain (still) battling traffic and splashes of mud in my face. I had to wear my sunglasses to ensure no objects hit my eyes, but it made visibility a bit darker considering it was already a cloudy day. On top of that, my rain jacket was somehow creating ...

    ... parasailing. Parasailing was really fun and you got really good views of the whole island from being so high up in the air! Afterwards we went for lunch at a local restaurant.
