After getting home early hours of the morning it was a sleepy kind of morning. 3.30am I ended up crawling in so it was makeup off and bed! I woke up randomly at half 7 and started to talk to people back home as it was a normal time. Then went back to sleep till 10! ... has had two subsequent owners, and is now also a conference and event centre. The experience of visiting the Ranch was actually very enjoyable especially so as Sally, our excellent guide, educated and amused our small group with her insights and knowledge. She did enquire whether everyone present understood ‘Texan’!

I should be heading to the airport right now, but the Air France pilots' strike cancelled my flight to Paris, twice. Re-booking again, at best, would have caused me to fly into Kinshasa just to spend the night and leave the next morning....

So I plan to try again in November.

... to the hotel & get ready for a night on the tiles, I quite like Dallas but it is way too spread out for me & doesn't compare to austin. We found a cool little bar with live music - a crazy country, red neck, Texan folk band who for most of the time we had absolutely no idea what they were saying or singing but it was great fun :) The next day we decided to kill some time at the posh shopping mall before Matt drove su to the airport for our flight to Vegas baby ...
