Leaving India on the red eye - just woke up after about 6 hrs of fitful, uncomfortable sleep. ... for dinner and a wander through the infamous red light district which is just across the canal from our hotel. (Despite what one certain person reading this might say, I didn't plan it this way). Yes, there were lots of adult shops and girls posing in windows but it is all so touristy I can't help but think that maybe the girls get paid by the government tourist bureau just to perpetuate the historical myth.

... br> Our second day, we got up with a struggle. The day before had caught up with us both and we were simply just tired (and aching) however, we went down for a continental breakfast and headed out to find Ann Franks' House.
