Leaving India on the red eye - just woke up after about 6 hrs of fitful, uncomfortable sleep. Leaves me longing for the wonderful overnight trains where you can fully stretch out and arrive at your destination rested.  The cattle car of the plane doesn't quite do the same thing, but the bathrooms are a lot cleaner! I have been trying to go back to …

Colorful Amsterdam

... souvenir cafe - et cetera. It's a bit ridiculous. Care: There are also tons of windows with scantily clad women dancing, beckoning you, or just checking their cell phones. Mike's Bike Tours were conveniently located across the road from the hostel. Our tour guide, Karl - for lack of a ...

... I did everything I could up to the point of making shadow puppets, but mine wouldn't work. I also saw a toilet that you pull a knob on the top to flush it. All fascinating. I know, I need to get out more.

To end the day, we went on a wild goose chase for some street art exhibit I read about, but it was nowhere to be found. It is hard to translate and understand websites here in the Nederlands (by the way, we use ".com" and they use ".nl") so maybe I got ...
