Today we rented a dune buggy and went to the dunes. It rained on us the entire time but wehad a blast. The craziest thing about dunes is you have to gun it to make it up a 450 foot side... and have no idea what's on the other side. The first time you launch off a dune and see how steep it is, you're stomach ends up in your throat. Then comes the relentless head smashing and whiplash. Got stuck ...

The geyser was capped and regulated releases were necessary in order to protect old faithful. We reached the main road south to Idaho Falls and headed to Camas Refuge. It was windy and damp as we drove around the managed wetlands for a couple of hours identifying different birds as well as seeing a moose.
