We left South Bend early so we could drive 4 1/2 hours across Indiana and into Ohio to watch the Akron Rubber Ducks play an afternoon game (Sophie really wanted to see two of her favorite things - baseball and rubber ducks - together). Canal Park is a great little ballpark and the Rubber Ducks won, so we had fun, but there wasn't a single rubber duck to be found in the souvenir shop. From there we drove on, out of Ohio, a little way through Pennsylvania, and into New York for a camping ...

Most of the local farms are horse-powered. This is like a trade show for finding everything that goes along with working horses.

Out came an angry, 20-something man who promptly told me it wasn't any of my (fill in the blank) business and to get the blank of his site and take my blanking dog with me.

Needless to say, I told him it was my business and that I will call the police if it continues. I'm not sure if he was unaccustomed ...
