... have a nice day today, but signs that winter was coming were already evident; - Canadian Geese were already flying in formation over Jasper in preparation to fly south. - Snow had fallen on the upper elevations - First frost was this morning Our first stop was at Athabasca Falls, greenish water rushing through rock to its destination in the Arctic Ocean. The falls are not so very high, but the force of the water has eaten potholes into the hard quartzite rock. ...

It was so good! Tuesday, September 1st - We got a lot of rain overnight and you could see lots of fresh snow on the mountain tops. After breakfast we're checking out and getting on road and heading south along Icefields Parkway to Banff. Check my Icefields Parkway post from Saturday for additional commentary and photos from our drive south. We'll be stopping along the way at several roadside ...

Lee and I had the very hard job of tasting each competitors' French toast, with lashings of Maple Syrup of course!! We didn’t know who’s toast was who’s, so were judging purely on taste.

I liked one version and Lee liked the other so with it being a draw, Ness ...

Athabasca Falls may be one of the most intense water features on planet earth! The roaring, the splashing, the intensity simple cannot be capture in a photography....

Athabasca Falls is not so much known for its height (80 feet), but for its FORCE and immeasurable quantity of water falling into its gorge.
