Booked a ride over to see the Fairmont Hotel Jasper, beautiful sunny day so here we go - bus to the resort then walked around admiring resort and the furnishings, the lake, golf course, horse stable (no horses they'd finished for the summer) and all the cabins. Wonder if you would sleep any better if you stayed at the fairmont !! Probably not :)

... 918 feet above the bottom of the valley below. Much to our surprise, walking out onto the Skywalk was like a walk in the park!! The depth of the view, while nowhere as impressive as that of the Grand Canyon, seemed almost within reach because of the Skywalk. Well, that's a bit of an exaggeration, Pat! A Real Highlight - Peyto Lake!! Notice the pictures of Peyto Lake with water that resembles that of a brightly colorful ...

... were the tickets! There were a £100 worth of tickets lying in the gutter for 2 adults and a child. I might have to adopt a child. We got back to the hotel and had a relaxing soak in the hot tub and a swim before finding more geocaches in ...

... trip but which in Canada seems to mean 4.5km each way. A rather longer walk than anticipated. The first half took us through woodland and marshes with not a peep of any lakes. Delayed gratification is meant to be good for the soul, apparently. We did see a variety of rodents though – several types of squirrel and a chipmunk-type thing, plus a very fearless grouse-type bird that wandered out in front of us ...

... is just like nothing we have seen - Scotland is special for different reasons, this landscape is quite breathtaking as well.

The hot springs proved a big hit with the family - four different pools with different temparatures, all generated from natural water high in the hills. A strong smell of sulpher, and a really diverse mix of people taking the waters. Photos of me in my bathing costume to follow.....

We are here one more night ...
