From nice hosts to a great location this IS the place to go!

My wife and I stayed at Binners during our honeymoon and couldn't believe that there existed people in the world as sincerely nice and attentive to detail as our hosts. Located about 200 yards from the beach and about 5 minutes from downtown Victoria, tucked away in a quaint historical neighborhood, this Bed and Breakfast couldn't be better placed. The rooms are clean, the food great, the hosts nice, the location perfect and the island is fun with 100 things to do. Simply put, quit looking and go here!

    Binners is Perfection

Our recent visit to Victoria, BC was enhanced by staying at this delightful Bed and Breakfast. The accomodations were incredible. Each room is designed and decorated to achieve maximum comfort. The appointments in each room were carefully planned. The breakfasts were delicious and served with care.

The hosts were anxious to help advise us plan activities for our three night visit to this lovely city. They even gave us a blanket to bring to Buchart Gardens (see photo) to view the fireworks on Saturday night.

We wish there was a Binners in every town we visit.

Binners' is the best B&B we've ever stayed in

Our stay at Binners' Bed & Breakfast was delightful. From the beautiful rooms with fresh flowers daily, to the lush garden, to the lovely sets of china on which the absolutely magnificent breakfasts are served, we felt completely enveloped in Binners and Edward's warmth and charm.

The house is just a quick walk from the beach and an easy walk from just about everything we wanted to see in Victoria. And Binners seems to know everything in Victoria! Just ask her for recommendations and directions.

This is the most comfortable B&B we've ever stayed in. The location is great and the food is unbelievably good. We recommend it most highly.

Just like visiting relatives! (that you actually like..)

We stayed two nights at Binner's B & B and had a marvelous time. I have stayed at a number of B&B's in Victoria, as we love to visit here, and no other establishment offers the personal touch like Binner's. They actually care if you enjoy your vacation! Binner and Edward (the owners) are a wonderfully witty pair and bend over backwards to ensure that your visit is a success!

The room that we stayed in- the Fairfield suite- was great. The bedroom was very nice with a queen size bed with thick luxurious bedding. The bathroom had a jetted tub and heated floors! (I cannot wait to install those at home!) The sitting room adjoined the bedroom through French doors and contained a big television, a couch and a chair. A small room in the sitting room contained a sink, refrigerator and microwave.

Now for the important part! The breakfast's were great! We had lovely apple stuffed pancakes and sausages one morning and a delicious souffle the next. However, that was just the main course. We also had homemade breads and muffins, fruit cups with mango yogurt dressing (yum!) and freshly made juice. Heaven. Not only was the food wonderful but the company was delightful. We had such a great time chatting with our hosts and the other guests that it was with great reluctance that we left the breakfast table each morning. On the other hand, that could also have been a result of partaking of the 3-5 course breakfast that was served and our inability to move after eating so much...

Our stay was wonderful and I cannot wait to return. The Davidsons (Binner and Edward) truly love what they do and that is evident during every moment of your stay.

NOTE: The only drawback to the entire trip was that I didn't make reservations on the Coho ferry for the return trip and had to leave Victoria via Swartz Bay resulting in our return trip to Tacoma taking 7 hours. Always reserve in the summer!

    We absolutely love Binner's!

We have stayed at Binner's several times now, the first time alone and the others we always manage to bring friends along! Binners and Edward are so helpful that we see new things everytime we are in Victoria which makes each visit better than the last. The breakfasts are spectacular and the rooms are so cozy and well put together I have gotten great ideas for our own home. We have even been through the renovations and seen all the wonderful upgrades they have added since our first visit. Anytime we are near we always take a couple days to visit our friends at Binner's!

    The BEST B&B in BC!

We have just returned from 7 weeks visiting Canada and 2 cities in the USA. We were fortunate to have stayed at 5 Fairmont Hotels in Canada, the Sheraton New York and the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. All were 1st class hotels with lovely rooms and great service. Just before leaving Sydney, Australia, I decided to book a B&B for a change, and after experiencing these wonderful hotels, we were hesitant with our choice of a B&B. Well, once Binners opened the front door to her B&B and welcomed us with warmth and humour, we immediately felt so reassured. With her husband Edward, they run their B&B with style and their breakfasts are an 'experience'! They take such pleasure in the food they serve, the conversation at breakfasts with other guests and everyone starts off the day on a happy note. The rooms are beautifully decorated and they have underfloor heating which was wonderful for us Aussies! Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and we can only say that our 5 night stay was definitely 6 Star! There is a lovely walk through the beautiful Beacon Hill Park to the harborside and shops and after Binners breakfast, you definitely need the walk! If you are visiting Victoria, give Binners a try -

we can guarantee you wont be disappointed! We are glad we did.

    Great attention to every detail

We loved our visit to Binners....Binners (yes, it's her name) and Edward have left nothing to want. Their home is in a quiet neighborhood one block from the beach. We easily walked to the beach, the park and to the downtown attractions. The B&B consists of three rooms, 2 of which are suites with comfortable sitting rooms with large TVs. Our room, in the new upstairs, was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The bed faces the remote control gas fireplace, a decanter of sherry is on the side table and the mini-fridge contains several sodas and water, on the house. The ensuite bath had a large jacuzzi tub, plenty big for two and is stocked with toiletries, should you forget something. Fresh flowers appeared daily.

The full breakfast each day began with a fruit course and was followed with a warm entree. Cereals and homemade breads were always available, too.

    Each was a thoughtful creation.

Their gardens front and back are English cottage gardens and there is a small pond in the back yard. Binners and Edward were very helpful with recommendations, calling for information for us and giving maps and directions. This description doesn't do them justice, as they truly have left no detail undone.

A Fantastic Bed & Breakfast Place in Victoria, B.c.

Binners Bed & Breakfast in Victoria, B.C. is truly a fabulous place! It is not too big (just three rooms), so it has a warm & cozy atmosphere. The hosts are exceptiional people; they are friendly and helpful, but they do not infringe upon your privacy.

The rooms are beautiful, immaculately kept and so comfortable. My husband and I have stayed there twice, both times in The Fairfield Suite, and we loved it. It is within walking distance of downtown Victoria (about a 25 minute walk if you go through residential streets and about an hour if you walk alongside the ocean. (The ocean is only a block from Binners)

We can't say enough about this wonderful place!

    Binners' Is The Best !

We just returned from a week at Binners' B&B in Victoria (Feb.21-28, 2005). Simply put, this is the nicest B&B we have ever stayed at. In fact, it is one of the nicest accommodations of any kind we have ever stayed at. Binners and Edward are truly the most friendly and gracious hosts, who make you feel like part of their family. My family and I feel as if we have just made new friends for life! If there is anything you require, from driving directions to reservations to gardening tips, Binners and Edward are more than happy to oblige. Their charming house contains large, beautifully decorated rooms with everything you need, including fireplaces, mini-fridges, jetted tubs and more. The breakfasts are extraordinary, complemented by exquisite china, placesettings, flowers and great company and conversation. The location is excellent - half a block from the ocean on a very quiet residential street, with easy acess to downtown and the inner harbour, and right next door to our favorite - the Cook Street Village area (and its local pub!). If you are looking for a place to stay while in Victoria (which is one of the most beautiful cities anywhere, by the way), I would highly recommend Binners' B&B. I certainly know we'll be back again next year!

    Loved Binners Bed & Breakfast

If you are looking for a great Bed & Breakfast in the great island of Victoria, then look no further. Binners Bed and Breakfast is one of the most delectable Bed & Breakfast we have ever stayed in. The service is just superb. We were greeted with the friendliest people imaginable (Binners & Edward.) Their genuine hospitality really made us feel welcome, and in all honesty, made is feel at home. The breakfast was very good and delicious, and it was definitely something to look forward to every morning. The rooms are just so cozy, with a built in fireplace to keep nice, warm and toasty. The décor is very unique with a complimentary mixture of classic and contemporary. Included is a guest room with free complimentary coffee, tea and wine. Included is variety of books, tourism guides, cards, and cd's to choose from, if desired. Included in the room was a refrigerator with complimentary soft drinks, two very fine comfortable robes, a CD player, and all the essentials that was really unexpected to us, like shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer etc. One of the nicest things about the room is the built in Jacuzzi tub with water jets, this was just the perfect compliment to such a wonderful room. The cost per night is very reasonable. In our opinion, well worth it for the price of $99 a night we paid, and it includes a wonderful breakfast. It sure beats staying in a hotel room, Binners' Bed & Breakfast is as good as it gets, surpassing any hotel room we ever stayed in. So if you are looking for wonderful, comforting and relaxing place to stay to your visit to the beautiful island of Victoria, then look no further. We give Binners Bed & Breakfast two delightful thumbs up!!!

    ... right.

It's a grand old building on the inside, and has welcomed the Queen (the current one) when she came to Canada for her golden jubilee. The tour taught us a few facts about the history of British Columbia, and how the monarchy plays a role in Canada today. She is officially the Queen of Canada, but that's a separate role to the Queen of Britain, she just happens to hold both roles, but it could ...

After another seamless ferry trip from Friday Harbor to Sidney, BC (thank you Washington State Department of Transport again) we made it to Canada - another country I can check off! Victoria rather than Vancouver is the capital of British Columbia although the latter is by far and away the bigger city (not that I have been there yet mind!).

Like the other cities we've been to in the NW, its pretty quiet. More of a large ...

"All hands" was interpreted pretty liberally and I found myself standing next to the lady who had just taken my money in the cafe though now she was sporting a nifty life jacket over her pinny.
