We set off from the apartment this morning around 10:30, it's cloudy but warm, expecting 16 degrees, tropical! Purchased tickets for the train back down the coast, planning to get off at Riomaggiore or Manarola (1st and 2nd of the five fishing villages that make up the Cinque Terre). The sick ones voted to stay put while Michael, Ellen and I went out for a stroll and to find a restaurant for lunch. Rapallo is quiet, and small, and there's no selfie stick sellers! Very pretty. Michael, Ellen and I headed down to a nearby supermarket for supplies and something for dinner. We've eaten. ...

... width than a parking spot. Nope not going this way! We turned around and took the same route back. Our original plans were to have lunch in one of the Cinqueterre villages, so instead we stopped in a tiny village on our way back to the Autostrada called Borghetto di Vara. This village was definitely out of "tourist realm" so we knew they probably didn't speak much English. We thought we could decipher a menu decent enough ...

... and artisans who followed after him. I think the concept of a building that would take 3 or 4 generations to build is part of the mystique and seeing a vast cathedral in the process of construction is humbling and fascinating. Gaudi's vision for a building that both honoured God and clearly proclaimed the Christian gospel in its structure and ...
