... freight-train we've seen have been marked "Union Pacific"). I also noticed a single wind turbine blade laying in a ditch near the railroad. It must have come off from one of the turbines above and tumbled all the way down to the bottom of the hill and indeed I did see a turbine with just two blades instead of three, missing one way up there on the hill. We left Ventura early, drove through my old stomping grounds in the San Fernando Valley to San Bernadino and took I-15 north. It was very windy and rainy over Cajon pass. We decided to stop in the high desert of Apple Valley for a few days as we noticed the weather was in the 70s, something we had been looking forward to.
