We have been kindly lent a car by my Dads cousin so we can travel a round and sight see a little, very generous. We took advantage of this and went to Salcey Forrest south of Northampton. It is a beautiful Forrest with lots of walks, great paths, easy access making it a fabulous place for all the family, even the dog! ... Toulouse, France.

-I made great friends in Ivona and Clare at my first ever Couchsurfing host and spent hours relaxing by the river in the mountains, before swimming in the tiny pool to cool off!

-I began to see the slightest signs that the circus was coming to town and I felt the excitement for EJC running fully in my blood! (And it still wont go away!)

-I had the absolute best week of my life so far sweating it out at EJC with 6000 other circus ...

In UK now, I think that maybe we are travelling too fast! The River restoration conference went well. Interesting the similarities but mostly differences in river restoration – here it is mostly about hydromorphological restoration to reduce flood damage by the use of 'green' and ‘blue’ infrastructure. Had an awesome first day skiing. I've already learnt so much, the ski instructor is great, he's helped me mostly with my speed and my parallel turns. I'm so happy that I'm in the top group with all the best skiers and I've also managed quite a few hard red slopes, although I had a massive fall and hurt my knee. I'm proud of what I've already done and up for a great day ...
