    We about to drive through a Redwood Tree...gotta go!! THAT was FUN! Although...literally...there were only a couple inches to spare! $5.00 well spent! haven't done THAT in a long time!! We are just about to the Ave of the Giants...a side road to Hwy 101 just North of Garberville. 32 Miles of big beautiful redwoods. We still have about an hour of light and Steve and I. We're married at 7:11 (in about 10 minutes) on 7 -11-2004!! What a great way of celebrating! ...

    ... is a three hour trip on an old time train that runs from Willits to Fort Bragg. We took a day trip to Fort Bragg. This was a 33 mile drive that took and hour and a half!     ... to catch an old episode to see what I saw today. Nice and sunny and fairly warm. We visited another lighthouse (what else does one do on the coast)? The surf is still pretty well churned up which makes for great pictures. The town is cute, but not sure what these people do for a living and we see lots of young families here as well as the older folks and one or two bums!!

    ... The water stunk.  There was obviously no movement so the water smelled of rotting weed and had lage chunks of river weed or algae at the top.  We continued along the lakefront for a whole figuring we should stop somewhere for a bit just to make sure we weren't making too hasty a decision. The buildings, including motels, all looked very rundown and poorly maintained.  We found a park to stop at and pulled up in the shade under a tree then sat on ...
